The hotel by the pond was founded in 1875. Back then, it was still a family farm with a haulage company and the hotel became the ‘restaurant to the baths' in the 1920s when the Wipperfürth open-air pool was built. Locals and guests enjoyed hearty home cooking and the idyllic location here.
Today’s form of Landgasthof Tönnes was ceremonially reopened by landlord Jürgen Tönnes in September 1998 following renovations. Whether you’re a regular guest of many years or a first-time visitor, our top priority is always the well-being of our guests.
